How do Quads work?
Quad tournaments divide players into “quad groups” of 4 players based on their NWSRS rating. The players in each quad group will play a 3 round, round robin with all the other players in their quad group. The player with the most points at the end will receive a 1st place trophy.
If a quad group consists of between 5-7 players because of the inability to form perfect groups of 4, then then that group of 5-7 players will have pairings done in a 3 round swiss style fashion. These large sections will also have a 2nd place medal available to win.
The winner of each Quad section will receive a trophy or medal.
